No. Anyone can apply but MVC is particular about the startups originating or being headquartered in TN. This does NOT mean they are Tamil speaking Entrepreneurs NOR does it imply the founders have to be from Tamil Nadu by Origin.

Q: What kind of companies does MVC invest in?

MVC solely focuses on Pre-Seed/Seed early-stage startups that would find mentorship valuable right from start. We would like a certain Business/Founder maturity before we believe the business requires capital and hence we help mature the startup with the founders and then write first cheques.

What is MudhalVC's cheque size

Our minimum check size ranges from 30K USD to 100K USD. However, for larger ticket sizes, our network of investors can assist in closing the round.

Does every startup have to go through the Idea Pattarai accelerator or can they just get funding alone ?

Yes. It is mandatory that all the companies that we work with go through our Idea Pattarai accelerator so that we get first hand knowledge about both the entrepreneur and the startup. By the time they need funding we know enough and hence our funding decisions are organic and instant.

Will MudhalVC help us get access to more capital for further rounds ?

Yes. We have partnered with Seed and Other early stage VCs to fund further rounds and complete current rounds. In most cases MudhalVC will also participate in further rounds.
